In the New York Times this morning, William Safire commented on the relative silence among what he calls "defeatists" about the discovery of sarin gas, a weapon of mass destruction, in Iraq. Worth reading.

I can't believe this is getting no play, combined with a thwarted gas attack on Jordan and the mustard gas shell found at the begining of the month. What exactly do we have to find now to make the Saddam-should-have-stayed folks admit their error?

She said that like many others including President Bush, she believed WMDs were in Iraq at the war's beginning, but that we now "know" they never were there.
