Human Rights in Syria

National Review this morning published an article by Nir Boms on human rights activism and the imprisonment of Aktham Naeesah in Syria. One can only hope that the government of Syria soon joins that of Sadaam Hussein in the dustbin of history.

How? If Iraq is a quagmire and some even doubt attacking Afghanistan, how will it fall?

"How" is a difficult question.

I think not now, but not never.

Syria is a primary sponsor of terrorism, and a force for regional instability. We can not expect to win, or end, the war against terrorism while Baathists retain power in Syria. We need to "get it done" in Iraq first (no easy thing to do) and then we need to press forward against those who give aid and comfort to our enemies.
